Renewals

Library materials may be renewed twice for the same time period as the first loan. Renewals may be requested three ways:

  • Sign in to "My Account" in AMBS WorldCat
  • Via phone: 574-296-6253
  • Via e-mail: libraryassistant@ambs.edu

Once you have reached your renewal limit, you will need to bring your item back to the library or be billed for it. You may immediately check it out again when you bring it back if there is not another need for it.

The library will not override the system to provide additional renewals when the item is not presented in person. This practice ensures fairness and provides a checkpoint to ensure that the library's materials can be located and remain in good condition.

Recalls

All library materials are subject to recall if needed for course reserve or another special purpose. You will be contacted directly via e-mail if you need to bring back a book you have on loan. The library assistant will make arrangements to see that your needs for the item are met alongside other persons' needs.
