Do you have any other problems with reading, writing, or research? Ask us for help!
Own your paper. We are not here to fix your paper. We make suggestions for ways you can fix your paper. We will not necessarily mark all errors in your paper, but might instead list some examples so that you know what you need to correct throughout the document. Read your own writing all the way through several times - your paper will turn out much better if you do that.
Meet the deadlines. Deadlines are listed after each service above. We may be unable to turn your work around faster than the time specified above, and we want to allow plenty of time for you to make corrections.
Ask questions. We can arrange to meet in person or via Google Hangouts to review comments or work on research or writing issues.
You can trust that we will hold in confidence any personal information contained in your writing!

How do I submit an assignment to the Writing Center for review?
Email assignments (in Microsoft Word format) to writingservices@ambs.edu. CC your professor on the email so they know you’ve submitted it to us.
When should I submit an assignment to the Writing Center?
Early and often! The best papers are the ones where you work with us throughout the process and allow plenty of time to implement suggestions. We love repeat customers and enjoy seeing your paper develop. Starting on your paper several weeks in advance also helps you develop your ideas and clarify your thinking about the topic.
See our deadlines for our various services above. We can help you identify sources for your research paper, help you organize your ideas and develop your thesis, and make edits to grammar and style. These services all require advance lead time.
Final drafts can be submitted to us for proofreading on the due date for your paper. Please make sure this is indeed a final draft. Once you have reached the final deadline, we can no longer help you with incomplete work or work that has major problems with grammar, style, or organization. We will simply note that we observed these problems and return the paper to you.
How long does it take to receive feedback from the Writing Center?
We aim to return assignments to you within three (3) business days. Often we can return them more quickly than this. However, at times with particularly heavy workloads, we may need to take more time than this.
If you have been waiting more than three days for feedback, feel free to reach out to us for a status update.
How will I receive feedback?
Our Writing Services team will review your assignment and make suggestions, revisions, and comments within Microsoft Word. When finished, your document will be uploaded into Google Drive and shared with you. You will have to download the assignment to review our suggestions.
How long after I receive feedback do I have to submit the assignment to my professor?
This will vary depending on each professor’s expectations. Please see your syllabus or speak with your professor.
