The AMBS Library has a team of professional staff, student assistants, and volunteers ready to serve you.
Call 574-296-6253 or e-mail libraryassistant@ambs.edu.
Use the navigation links to explore the services available to you: Document Delivery, Books by Mail, Borrowing from Seminary Libraries, and Other Libraries Near You.
Library staff will e-mail journal articles and book chapters found in the AMBS library and partner libraries.
The Databases link on the library home page takes you to a list that includes ATLA Religion Database and Academic Search Elite. These databases list many journal articles and book chapters without online full text.
If you see a citation that doesn't have a PDF available, click on the "Request or check for full text" button.
To request a copy, click the "Get it!" button and complete the form to submit your request to the AMBS Library.
A librarian will correspond with you to make any necessary arrangements. The article will come to you as an email attachment.
When starting a research paper or sermon, you may need access to high-quality reference books and commentaries that are only available in the library's print collection. Or perhaps you need a chapter from a book that is in the library's circulating collection.
The library cannot scan an entire book due to copyright restrictions, but we can scan a modest portion you need for a research purpose. Expect a response to your request within 24 hours on weekdays.
