Document Delivery

Library staff will e-mail journal articles and book chapters found in the AMBS library and partner libraries.

Requesting from Article search

On the library home page, there are easy access buttons to search library databases such as EBSCOHost (general purpose databases), Atlas Plus (resources on theology, religion, and related disciplines), JSTOR (fulltext academic journal backfiles). Some of these databases list many journal articles and book chapters without online full text. If you see a citation that doesn't have a PDF available, click on the "Find It at AMBS or request from another library" link.

To request a copy, choose the Request Form button. Fill out the form to submit your request to the AMBS Library. When filling out the form, please add a note identifying yourself as a Journey student.

A librarian will correspond with you to make any necessary arrangements. The article will come to you as an email attachment.

Scans from library books

When starting a research paper or sermon, you may need access to high-quality reference books and commentaries that are only available in the library's print collection. Or perhaps you need a chapter from a book that is in the library's circulating collection.

  1. Identify titles of the reference books or commentaries you want to use through the "Everything in WorldCat" search box on the library home page.
  2. If you don't know what portion you will need, you may ask for a scan of the table of contents or index.
  3. Fill out the form at https://anabapti.st/scanning to make your request.

The library cannot scan an entire book due to copyright restrictions, but we can scan a modest portion you need for a research purpose. Expect a response to your request within 24 hours on weekdays.
