Effective peacebuilding involves using perspectives and approaches from multiple disciplines. As you work in peace studies, your sources will need to come from a wide variety of disciplines. Look for the following:
- Perspective of sources: look at authors' affiliations and publishers; pay attention to geography and faith traditions
- Various ways of knowing: choose sources from multiple disciplines, backgrounds, and parts of the library
- Disciplinary use of language: choose a variety of keywords to search for information on your topic
The peacebuilding wheel graphic expresses the interdisciplinary nature of this work.
