Current AMBS students and employees may request materials from other libraries and borrow directly from a long list of partner libraries.
Community borrowers and alumni are encouraged to use interlibrary loan services at their local public library.
AMBS welcomes interlibrary loan requests from all libraries, including churches.
Most interlibrary loan materials take 1-2 weeks to arrive. In 2014-15, 63% of books and media came in 7 calendar days or fewer.
Copies often arrive within 1-2 business days if they can be delivered electronically. In 2014-15, 73% of copies came in 3 calendar days or fewer.
You are welcome to place requests for audiovisuals, but we're not always able to get them. You have a good chance if it is in a PALNI library. If you have a course or research-related need for media items, please consult with Karl Stutzman when submitting your request.
Interlibrary loan and reciprocal borrowing services are not designed for students' textbook needs. The loan period is not long enough nor are there are not enough copies of most textbooks to serve everyone fairly. AMBS expects you to purchase any textbooks that are required for your courses.
